  The Eicher 485 comes equipped with a 2945cc three-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine, which is naturally aspirated and produces a maximum power output of 45 hp at 2150 rpm. The engine comes equipped with a four-stage oil-bathed air filter and has an inline fuel injection pump. The centre shift transmission unit of the Eicher 485 includes a single clutch as standard, though buyers can also opt for a dual-clutch at an extra premium. The transmission unit consists of eight forward and two reverse gears, with the forward top speed of the Eicher 485 with forward gears rated at 30.81 kmph.
